I travel to jails, detention centers, and correctional facilities across the Temecula Valley and Riverside County to notarize documents for inmates and detainees.

Jail & Detention Facility Notary

When someone you care about is detained, getting a document signed and notarized can feel impossible. As a mobile notary, I come to the facility so powers of attorney, affidavits, titles, and other important papers can be handled properly and on time. I work within each facility's rules and California law to make a difficult situation a little easier.

What's included

  • I travel to jails, detention centers, and correctional facilities throughout Riverside County and the Temecula Valley.
  • The signer must present valid identification, or be identified through credible identifying witnesses as allowed under California law.
  • The signer must be willing, aware, and signing of their own free will — I cannot notarize otherwise.
  • Appointments depend on each facility's visiting rules, clearance requirements, and scheduling.
  • $15 per signature as regulated by California, plus a flat mobile travel fee quoted upfront (from $150) — no surprises.
  • Bonded, NNA and LSS certified, with $1,000,000 E&O insurance and annual background checks.
  • Available day and evening, seven days a week by appointment; same-day or short-notice is often possible.

How a jail signing works

First, we confirm which documents need notarizing and contact the facility to arrange clearance and a visiting time, since every jail sets its own rules. On the scheduled day, I travel to the facility and meet with the signer, who must have a valid form of identification or be identified by credible identifying witnesses as California law permits. I confirm the signer is willing and aware, witness the signature, and complete the notarial certificate. I am a notary, not an attorney, so I cannot give legal advice or tell you which document to use. Payment is required upfront.

Documents I notarize for inmates and families

Common requests include powers of attorney, affidavits, custody and family-related documents, and vehicle titles. I also handle a range of financial and legal documents that require a willing signer's notarized signature. Families often need these signed so they can manage affairs while a loved one is detained. Just let me know what you have, and I will explain what the notarization itself involves.
